The Philippines

Fun fact: there are over 7,600 islands in the Philippines. This tropical paradise is an ideal country to visit if you're looking for breathtaking beach landscapes, rich colonial history, and abundant flora and fauna. After you explore the capital city, Manila, head to Borcay Island's 12 beaches – known as some of the Philippines' best. Bohol's Chocolate Hills are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the island is also home to the pint-sized tarsier primate. Do you like to save the best for last? Head to Palawan Island and explore its stunning coves, caves, and rocky islands. There's even an entire network of underground rivers known as the Subterranean River National Park.

Montenegro

Move over, Croatia, there's a new kid in town. Montenegro is another Balkan nation with rugged mountains, postcard-worthy beaches, and charming medieval villages. It's yet to be overrun with tourists, so plan a visit before the word gets out. Harbor town Perast is often named as the most beautiful spot in Montenegro, perched between the Adriatic coast and the mountains. A quick drive from Perast is Kotor, whose Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and full of medieval Roman churches, Byzantine towers, and Venetian palaces. Visit Lake Skadar, the largest in the Balkans, for VIP glimpses of hundreds of migratory birds. Travelers with deep pockets must visit Sveti Stefan, an island that was taken over by the Aman hotel in 2008, offering a five-star experience.

Home, Sweet Home

Ok, hear us out… There really is no place like home. Last year taught us all to reconnect with our immediate surroundings, and when it's impossible to travel, looking at our environment with new years is essential. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how many stamps you have in your passport or airline miles you've accrued if you don't have your health or loved ones to share it with.

We know you're eager to book a trip, hop on a flight, and get back out there in the world. For now, the biggest priority is staying safe and making smart travel decisions. We'll always be here for you when it's time to plan that bucket list holiday, family vacation, quick weekend getaway, or life-changing solo trip. We promise.
