THAILAND IS BLESSED WITH so many white-sand beaches, it’s easy to lose count. Now that the Thai government is planning to carefully reopen the country’s tourism, there’s never been a better time to start planning that dream vacation. Avani Hotels & Resorts has been busy preparing to open not one, but four stylish new properties all over the Kingdom of Smiles. We’re incredibly excited to visit these soon-to-be havens of beachside bliss.

Newly opened on Thailand’s largest island, Avani’s first location in Phuket will be located just steps from the famous Mai Khao Beach, Phang Nga Bay and the Turtle Village Shopping Complex. Picture 100 spacious suites and secluded private pool villas, not to mention a lagoon pool, a kid’s club, a fitness center, and so much more, all surrounded by tropical foliage.

Known for its breathtaking limestone cliffs and pristine beaches, Krabi is truly considered one of Thailand’s greatest gems. Joining the already popular Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort is this 87-key oasis on lovely, laid-back Koh Lanta. From the private pool villas nestled on a peninsula with an unbeatable view of the sunset over the Andaman Sea and a two-bedroom Grand Panorama Pool Villa, which is perfect for an intimate wedding celebration, the accommodations here are top-notch. When the resort opens in the last quarter of 2021, it will feature three on-trend drinking and dining spots. Don’t miss the chance to grab a drink, soak in the ambiance, and enjoy chilled-out beats tunes at Reggae Bar.

At the tail-end of 2021, this 328-key eco-resort will offer unimpeded views of the turquoise waters of the Andaman and access to an unspoiled stretch of sandy coastline. The resort goes the extra mile when it comes to being green, from a zero-waste system that composts leftover food into organic fertilizer for the on-site garden to its emphasis on locally sourced seafood. While building the resort, the architects were able to preserve over 600 trees, and save another 100 by carefully replanting them into the lush landscape of gardens and natural ponds.

Avani Chaweng Samui Resort’s bold and fresh design is inspired by the glitz and glamour of travel in 1950’s America, with a contemporary take on mid-century modern aesthetic. To bring that carefree experience back to the customers, SOHO Hospitality, a renowned Thailand-based studio known for their standout restaurant concepts, infused a predominantly contemporary space with retro influences. The 50’s vibe is evoked via high-contrast geometric patterns and curves, mirrored furniture, abundant use of metallic and opulent fabrics.
