It’s already the last week of September, which means the flurry of TikTok edits of F1 drivers nonchalantly burning rubber should have already made their way on your FYPs. That’s right, we’re hurtling right into the Grand Prix Season Singapore (GPSS) and as usual, we’ve got much to keep ourselves occupied with before the racers take to the asphalt of the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

1. Velocity@Novena Square F1 Pop-Up Event

Immersive 5D racing simulator to test your driving skills

Motorheads living in the vicinity of Velocity@Novena Square, you’ll be able to live out your octane-fuelled dreams at their F1 Pop-Up Event. Happening from 26th September to 5th October 2025, you can hop behind the wheel at their 5D racing simulator that’s all kitted out with precision steering, pedal feedback, and panoramic visuals to channel your inner Hamilton.

You’ll want to look the part too, so swing by the #99 Speed Carnival F1 Merchandise Roadshow to pick up some merch from your favourite teams. They’ve got jerseys, die-cast car models, replica helmets, and LEGO sets to cart out.

2. ION Orchard Live The Race

ION Orchard’s also revving up for the race season, as they’re kicking things into high gear with their Live The Race event. For starters, the luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer is running an interactive pop-up showcasing historical timepieces that have become synonymous with the motorsport, and don’t forget to snap a pic beside the official Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 Team Show Car.

Meanwhile, the little ones will be ecstatic when they lay their eyes on the LEGO Experience The Thrill pop-up set up right outside the mall. Another photo spot awaits fans right here, in the form of a life-sized LEGO replica of the F1 Williams FW16 Race Car that’s pieced together with over 400,000 bricks. There are also a couple of fun stations to check out too, like a VR racing experience and a tire-changing showdown; complete them all to walk home with a free mini LEGO F1 racecar.

Good news if you’re a fan of the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Team; they’ll be bringing their Inside the Garage showcase where you’ll get a closer look at a show car and the race gear that the drivers don. The event culminates on 1st October 2025, where Isack Hadjar will meet fans in the flesh at ION Orchard leading up to race day.

3. CQ @ Clarke Quay Hit The Apex

Clarke Quay sure knows how to host bustling parties, and this September’s no different. The folks over at CQ @ Clarke Quay are hosting the Hit The Apex festival, and it’s jam-packed with activities that even those who can’t tell their Ferraris from their Aston Martins can enjoy.

For instance, the Music Matters Live performances that are taking place from 26th to 28th September and 1st October 2025 will feature local and international artistes alike who’ll set the stage ablaze with excitement. As for photo ops, the Pulse Grid light art installations are just the perfect backdrops for a wild night out.

Of course, there’ll be plenty of F1-related offerings at Hit The Apex too. The GPSS Apex League is an on-site e-racing hub for authentically simulated laps around the circuit, while the kids will have a field day at the Hot Wheels Pocket Pitstop that sports a track diorama and exclusive Hot Wheels merch.

4. GrooveDriver Festival 2025

Music festival featuring homegrown talents

Speaking of electrifying live performances, you’ll be able to catch a couple of big names serenading you all night long at the upcoming GrooveDriver Festival 2025 (from $58/pax). It’s a music festival happening in the midst of the F1 season’s buzz, and it’s held over 2 days, each with a diverse cast of acts to cater to fans across multiple genres.

Head down on 27th September 2025 to catch the festival’s headliners, which include K-pop heavyweights like Shaun, Yuju, and GEMINI, as well as Singapore’s sweetheart Regina Song and the up-and-coming WHYLUCAS.  Also happening on the same day, stay on to groove along to the beats supplied by an all-female DJ lineup till the wee hours of the morning.

On the other hand, admission for the acts taking place on 2nd October 2025 is completely free. It’ll feature performances from Japanese artistes like Wolf Howl Harmony from Exile Tribe, SANTA, and muque.

5. Singapore Sidecars GPSS Night Race Party Tour

Singapore Sidecars is offering you a quirky way to get around the city this September with their special GPSS Night Race Party Tours. These 60-minute tours cost $230/pax, and riders will be sat in an adorable sidecar as they are driven to various heritage sites in town, accentuated with the palpable hype surrounding the Singapore Grand Prix.

Don’t you even worry about the photos; the guides are equipped with the know-how of the best spots around, and will be more than happy to double as your photographer for the day. You can also choose to end your tour at Prego, one of Singapore’s longest-standing Italian restaurants, for a sumptuous dinner.

6. Timezone Orchard Xchange F1 Simulator Experience

If you’re one to frequent the arcades to hop on their racing simulators, you’ll be stoked to hear that Timezone Orchard Xchange will be hosting an F1 Simulator Experience this coming weekend. On 27th and 28th September 2025 only, they’ve got 2 professional racing simulators for gamers to have a go at as they tackle the lifelike twists and turns on the virtual circuit.

They’re also equipped with new adrenaline-pumping games such as Speed Rider 4DX Twin Motion for some motorcycle-powered action, while the Legend of Spark is one for the children that has Mario Kart-like power-ups. Crowd favourite games like Asphalt 9DX and Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune will all be up and running as per usual too.

But the best part? All Timezone Outlets across Singapore will be offering $1 racing games from 27th to 5th October 2025, so nothing’s holding you back from having a whale of a time.

7. New Bahru ECA: Pit Stop

Even though they’re quite a fair bit away from the Marina Bay Street Circuit, New Bahru’s looking to get in on the race season’s festivities too. This year, they’re holding a marketplace dubbed Extra Curious Activities: Pit Stop, from 3rd to 5th October 2025, and it’ll shine the spotlight on over a whole host of homegrown brands.

Some booths to keep an eye out for include hrvst.store, which deals in contemporary stationery, prints, and lifestyle objects; while SONOGO’s 3D-printed lamps are just the thing to spruce up your bedroom with. Over at PRALET, they’ve got fluffy sourdough donuts to keep you going; and brands like SANJE and Sardine from Indonesia and Thailand respectively are selling apparel and accessories to add some international flair to the creative cluster.

There are also some F1-related activities for all you motorheads out there, such as the Build Your Own Race Bag Charm workshop by Crafune where you’ll get to craft a leather keepsake with your very own hands. Gallery26 Dempsey SGP’s Dare To Be Different exhibition showcases exclusive Ferrari F1 models, original F1 merchandise, and one-of-kind pieces.

Items that are a must-see include the current first and only Chinese F1 driver, Zhou Guan Yu’s race-worn suit from Grand Prix Season Singapore 2022 and the barrier that Lance Stroll crashed into during the Grand Prix Season Singapore 2023 that you get to touch.

To think about the amount of force it took to cause that damage to the barrier. Yikes!
