Experience the magic of Prague this Christmas

If there’s a European capital that’s perfect for Christmas, it’s definitely Prague. The mix of baroque, Renaissance, and gothic architecture — along with the winding, cobbled streets in the Old Town (Stare Mesto) and Lesser Town (Mala Strana) — gives it a fairytale vibe all year long. But when the city is lit up with twinkling lights and its squares are bustling with festive market stalls, filled with the delightful scents of svarak (mulled wine) and trdelnik (chimney cakes), it turns into a magical holiday wonderland.

For the quintessential Christmas experience, stay near the iconic Old Town Square, where you’ll find the city at its most festive. We’ve also rounded up some Christmas events you might want to drop in for a listen.

Prague has a wide range of Christmas concerts this December (2025), primarily featuring classical music in historic venues like the Municipal House and the Mirror Chapel.
