Guide to Perth’s 2023/24 summer music festival season

Warmer days are here, which can only mean one thing

Okay, actually a few things: beach days, balmy nights, iced coffees and music festivals. And fortunately for live music lovers, this year’s festival calendar does not disappoint. Ranging from blues to EDM, here are all the major music festivals to look forward to this spring and summer in Perth and the southwest.

Out of the Woods

If homegrown indie music is more your style, be sure to snap up tickets to two-day festival Out of the Woods. Aussie acts Chet Faker, Meg Mac, The Temper Trap and Boy & Bear will be blessing your ears at Esplanade Park in Freo this October.

Grapevine Gathering

Groove amongst the vineyards to big indie acts like Spacey Jane, The Wombats and King Stingray at this year’s edition of Grapevine Gathering. Hosted at Sandalford Wines in the Swan Valley, expect sunshine, good music and good times.

Perth International Jazz Festival

Showcasing Australian and international talent, Perth Jazz International Jazz Festival will bring the excitement of jazz to WA clubs, bars and event spaces – including the superstar talent of Dame Lisa Simone, daughter of Nina Simone. The festival is coming to Perth and the Southwest this November with the full line-up of events yet to be announced.

Blues at Bridgetown

Blues and roots lovers rejoice! The annual Blues at Bridgetown festival is back with a lineup that is worth doing the drive down for. This year, the three-day festival brings artists Kim Churchill, Sweet Talk, Roshani, C.W. Stoneking and plenty more for a weekend of good music in the beautiful Southwest.

Pollen Festival

Introducing itself as an intimate and immersive experience designed for the free-spirited, Pollen Festival is bringing Aussie acts like Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers, Late 90s and Pretty Uglys to the gardens of Port Beach Brewery.

WAMFest

Celebrating WA’s vibrant music scene, WAMFest features an impressive lineup of more than 160 local musicians. Held across venues in Northbridge and Scarborough, the festival is part of WA Music Month and is certainly not to be missed. You can get the latest info here.

Euphoria in the Fields

Euphoria in the Fields is Perth’s newest addition to the festival calendar and is set to transform Swan Valley’s Mulberry Estate into a mystical wonderland. Along with EDM heavyweights like Yolanda Be Cool and Annix, the festival will boast fire performers, dancers, goblin golf (whatever that may entail) and plenty of whimsical vibes.

Ice Cream Factory

This summer’s hottest (or is it coolest?) music festival, Ice Cream Factory, has unveiled its massive lineup for the summer. Running from December 1 until New Year’s Eve, it’s 13 deliciously dance-worthy nights featuring some of the world’s hottest artists. We’re talking Genesis Owusu, Hermitude, PNAU, Golden Features, A-Trak, Claptone, Shouse, San Cisco, SAFIA and more, including the just-added Mallrat and Young Franco, both fresh from huge sets at Listen Out last weekend.

Spilt Milk

Headlined by Post Malone, Dom Dolla, Aitch, Chris Lake and Ocean Alley, Spilt Milk is set to be a big one this year. The summer festival will bring its stellar lineup of international and homegrown acts to Claremont Showgrounds this December.

Snack NYE

Want to see out 2023 with a bang? Snack NYE might be the ticket (that is if there are any tickets left). This year, we can expect numerous bars and beer gardens, a giant silent disco, a foam-filled Snow Park and Snack’s iconic boombox stage.

No One But Us

Following a huge inaugural party last year No One But Us returns to The Palace Motel at Langley Park on New Year’s Day, with a just-announced face-melting lineup of bass legends like HEDEX, NETSKY, DELTA, HEAVY, METRIK, CALIBRE and loads more.

Wildlands

Keep the good times rolling into the new year starting at Wildlands. The summer festival will see big names like Rüfüs Du Sol, Peggy Gou and Central Cee take to Claremont Showgrounds in January.
